Setting a background color for a tab control in VB6 TABCTL32.OCX

Hello.

We are unable to set the color of tabs (the tabs themselves and/or the body of the tabs) in VB6.  We see in the properties menu where we can change the color, but the end result is just the boring gray color.

We are using Microsoft Tab Control MSCOMCTL.OCX and TABCTL32.OCX which are bundled with the VB6 components.

Setting the BackColor within the form properties to white does not make the tab back ground or tab body turn white.

In TabCtl32.ocx BackColor changes the color behind the Tabs. Look closely at the notches between tabs when you change BackColor to White and you will see it change.

For colored Tabs suggest these controls:
