Problem with spacing in VB script

I'm working on a script that will create a signature block in Word and then save it into Outlook as the users default signature. The problem I'm having is that by default, Word now adds spaces between paragraphs. So when I add code into my script to add a new line, it really adds two in Word. I don't want all the extra space. Take a look at the code and let me know if you have any ideas. I've tried seperating the lines both with a "objselection.TypeParagraph()" and by setting a constant "EndChar = VBNewline" -- they both give me the space between lines of text, but Word is throwing in the extra.

I think you have go into Word, and modify the Normal style.

Change the spacing to single with 0 before and after.

Thanks, but I know how to change the spacing in Word manually. The problem is this script will be pushed out to our entire network and if I have to go around and change everybody's Word settings first it kind of defeats the point.

I'm aware that this may be an impossible task, due to othe defaults in Word, but I figured I'd ask. I wish there was a way to universally change the defaults in Word, with a script maybe.

If the text you're writing is going to have normal applied to it automatically, then you're going to have to format the paragraph(s) via VBA.  Try adding this code right before your code where you start inserting the text:

    With Selection.ParagraphFormat
        .SpaceBefore = 0
        .SpaceBeforeAuto = False
        .SpaceAfter = 0
        .SpaceAfterAuto = False
        .LineSpacingRule = wdLineSpaceSingle
    End With

At what point in the script do I put this code? Ive pasted it in, but theres no change in the output.
 Also, forgive me, I'm not a programmer, or even a scripter for that fact, learning as I go, but my file is .vbs, your previous post references vba. Difference?

I would put it at line 34 of your code above - and there is a difference.... I don't really know VBS but try something like:

Objselection.ParagraphFormat.LineSpacingRule = wdLineSpaceSingle
