How to programmatically create a system DSN for Oracle 10g in VBA. The program should check if the DSN entry is there if not then create  one.

Hi, if you have the system DSN set up on a computer, you can export the key at
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\<DSN NAME>]

to a .reg file, then in VBA, you can run
Shell "regedit /s \\server\share\DSNRegEntries.reg"

If you want to check if it already exists, you'll have to read the registry key first.

Thanks i exported, is there any way i can run the .reg file with the setup . i have a setup project in visual studio 2005 for my application, when the user run the setup to install the app can this .reg file also be registered.

I'm not sure. You could either
1) run some sort of pre or post install task with the Setup compiler (I'm not familiar with it)
2) create a batch file that users use to install it, which run regedit /s and then the setup.exe
