Browse All TopicsI'm using Outlook 2003 andI am doing my first custom form. I've created a folder to hold "Mail and Post Items," then designed a form using the Standard Forms Library "Messages" form as a starting point (IPM.Note).
The form is a Paid Time Off (PTO) request form. It's pretty simple. I want to include two date picker fields labeled "PTO Start Date" and "PTO End Date." I tried from within the Field Chooser to create a new field of type "Date/Time" with the format I like, but it adds the fields as a blank field, not a picker. So I searched on this topic, and from what I read, I should be able to pick a date picker control from the Controls Toolbox. But the of all the buttons shown in the toolbox, none are date pickers. (See attached screenshot.)
Why don't I see a date picker in my control toolbox? Does it have something to do with the fact that I based my custom form on the "messages" form and not the "calendar" form?

Microsoft Flat ScrollBar Control
Thanks, greenhacks. I had been trying to right-click on the controls toolbox, but had not been right-clicking in the right place. I finally figured out where to right-click to see the "Custom Control" option. But when I scroll through the list of custom controls to add, neither of the "Microsoft Office Outlook Date Control" nor the "Microsoft Office Outlook Calendar Controls" was listed. See screen shot.
You mentioned the MSCOMCT2.ocx file. I had done a search and found this file in my c:\windows\system32 folder so I thought I must have what I needed. Maybe there are different versions of this file.
