No, only UserControls can make use of the Designer interface. Something inherited from a control is not a UserControl, but a Custom Control.

I'm actually looking to implement an interface. I'd like to be able to do:
Public Interface AdminTabPageInt
Sub RunDataUpdates()
End Interface
Private Sub mTimer_Tick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles mTimer.Tick
CType(TabControl1.Selected
end sub
I spent a bunch of time looking into this, and I can to the fairly disappointing conclusion that this isn't an easy thing to do. It seams to me that it could be done somehow. If VS can do it for a user control and forms, it should be able to do it for any control. I've got other things on my plate right now, but I might get back to it later. If I do, I'll update this thread.
Experts, thank you all for your input!
