You either need to write a sub to manually set all of the appropriate controls to your desired state...
...or you create a new instance of the form and display that:
Dim frm As New Form1
frm.Show()
Me.Close()
If that form was the "Startup Object" then you can change the "Shutdown Mode" to "When Last Form Closes" to keep the app from dying.
