Browse All TopicsEvery now and again something pops up to really humble us. It would now be my turn. I've done amateur database programming in VB for many years but have never had the opportunity to work with FoxPro files until now. I'm not having any problems accessing the data using an ODBC DSN and DAO until I try to change the recordsource to "select * from CLIENTS whre CLIENTNUMBER = '1'". It just chokes as if you can't use SQL in the recordsource. Obviously there is a way of querying a recordset.
I'm not having any better luck trying to use ADO. I keep getting strange messages when I attempt to connect. Obviously I need "How to access Foxpro data tables with Visual Basic 6 for idiots" but I think that title may be a little too restrictive. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
