One way is to put a Password on the VBA project:

VBA editor
Tools>><ProjectName> Properties
Protection Tab
Lock For Viewing
Enter the password

********** MAKE A BACKUP FIRST OF YOUR MDB ****

That will cause Debug to be grayed out.

IE ... Make a backup WITHOUT a password first.  And .. don't forget the password.

One simple way is to make an MDE/ADE file... that will compile your code and make it unviewable... This is handy for an environment where you want to work on/update a file and then release it to a group of users... you keep the mdb and then release mde versions...

Provide proper error handling.

I use MzTools to help with adding this:

The password is the easiest and most fool proof. However they won't get any error messages at all, unless you throw them. The only errors they will see are warnings like data validation and requirements.

The only true error they'll get are fatals when Access craps out.

Password also keeps them from accesses code via Alt F11. Just don't forget the password.

"The password is the easiest and most fool proof. However they won't get any error messages at all,"

Actually they will.  You still get the error message, but Debug is grayed out.  End is not grayed out.  Of, ideally ... in addition to this, you would have error handling in places where you know errors can occur.

And of course, an MDE will do this, but ... that's kind of a hassle during development/debug (no pun) ...

Like Flavo said - add error handling. Any applicaiton being deployed to others should have robust and complete error handling in place.
