VBA - EXCEL - DATE Conversions

Hi All, my first post to EE so looking forward to reciveing an answer.  I have written some VBA which takes string date as input from a user, this subsequently queries Oracle and returns some date into cells.  Now all is going relatively well apart from the fact I cant convert the date into a relative day in the week which is needed to position the results on the spreadsheet.  So in a nutshell, how do I take one date from the user in 'yyyymmdd' string format keep this format and also create a new variable which will convert the string to a date.  I will need to use both of the variables so cannot have one over riding another.  Effectively one is sent to Oracle and the other stored as date wil be kept within the program.Start Free Trial
