Adding NT account to a group in Active Directory using VBScript.

Adding an existing NT account to a group in Active Directory using VBScript from an ASP application.

The service account that the application impersonates does have the correct permissions in AD.  However, when I do the following, I get an Permission Denied error.

Line 689:  Set objGroup = GetObject("LDAP://" & Application("DomainController") & "/" & sGroupDN)
Line 690:  Set objUser = GetObject("LDAP://" & Application("JJEDS_DC") & "/" & sUserDN)
Line 691:  objGroup.add(objUser.ADsPath)

What's the Application("JJEDS_DC") piece that line 690 is referencing? How is it different from the Application("DomainController") reference in line 689?

I'll be the first to tell you that I'm an AD admin and not an ASP dev, but my gut instinct to ferret out an AD permissions issue would be to run a mock-up of the code manually as the service account in question, filling in known-good values for the sGroupDN and sUserDN variables. (My other gut instinct would be that any suggestion to grant write access to AD to the anonymous IIS user would be met with a sentence involving the words "over", "cold", "dead", and "body."  :-))

True, but seems to be the problem here.  Regardless of right thing to do :)
