The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Excel vbscript to output downwards by row rather than across by column

Hi Experts!

I have a script which currently interrogates my citrix farm servers for applications. The script outputs to Excel and uses a text file for input with the ctx servers to connect to.

Currently the script adds the data iinto excel as follows:

Citrix Server           Server Desktop      Event Viewer                        Notepad                        etc etc
Server01         Server01 Desktop    Server01 Event Viewer      Server01 Notepad          etc
Server02         Server02 Desktop    Server02 Event Viewer      Server02 Notepad          etc

However this is very difficult to read due to the number of applications that we have and the spreadsheet is unprintable due to the data going across the page rather than down.

Therefore I would like the columns and data to be reversed as we only have 20 or so ctx servers so that columns would have the server names and the applications would be output downwards as below:

Citrix Application                        Server01            Server02
Server Desktop      Server01 Desktop          Server02 Desktop    
Event Viewer        Server01 Event Viewer      Server02 Event Viewer
Notepad                            Server01 Notepad      Server02 Notepad

Script is available on request.

Could anyone help with this?
