Is there a command line or a script that would be the equivalent of repairing a network connection?
The same as opening the Network Connections control panel > right click connection > choose repair
netsh int ip reset ...clears too much; sets static ip to default configuration of DHCP
netsh interface reset all ...not even sure what it does
All of the machines that this will run on are Windows XP SP2 with firewall enabled

What about the clearing netbt ?
I don't even know if its necessary but I see that scroll by when I click repair in the control panel
I thought there was more involved than that when running the repair.
It seems like at certain times when ipconfig /flushdns does not work the repair does work
No need to respond to that last comment...just rambling on to try and work things through in my noggen

thats about the most it does....
