The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Automatic scripted actions over the internet and also excel

Asked by touyets in VB Script, Miscellaneous Software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

Hi all.

I am attempting to see if this is possible. I have never done anything similar or even remotly close but I just thought this could be possible.

What I'd like to do is from a single application in Windows XP (this would be the only manual thing to do: opening the file), automatically open an internet web page (www.irishjobs.ie), select 'Both' and 'Construction, Architecture & Property' in the first 2 search boxes in the main page then click the 'Search' button. This will bring it to a page with a lot of categories inside and I'd like it to automatically open the 'Architect' page and this is where the tricky part stuff - as if I was even capable of doing the stuff before. I'd like it to automatically select the data in the table and have the number of times when 'Big Fish Recruitment' is mentioned to be put inside an Excel file in a column B (Column A would contain the title of the page : Architect.
Then I'd like it to go onto the second page (on the internet page) and do the same actions and input the number in the column C of the Excel sheet.

Then repeat but for the 'Architectural Technican' pages.

Is this possbile or I am just in DreamLand?! Maybe an external program can do this.  Maybe a genius in here can tell me how to do it (I met a genius in the VBA scripting section of this website named Rorya so maybe there's one for this kind of stuff)

Thanks for reading through all this. If things aren't clear please tell me so.Start Free Trial
