The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Basically I am writing a script to help monitor a robocopy job.

The log files can gro to be very large but always finish with the following information which is usefull:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                Total    Copied   Skipped  Mismatch    FAILED    Extras
     Dirs :    161395     89740     71638         0        17    132425
    Files :   1373323    843628    521900         0      7795    640239
    Bytes : 552.848 g 158.126 g 368.098 g         0  26.623 g 233.730 g
    Times :  38:29:47  32:29:36                       0:00:00   6:00:10

    Speed :             1451458 Bytes/sec.
    Speed :              83.053 MegaBytes/min.

    Ended : Fri Feb 22 09:29:51 2008

Basically I want to pull this information from the logs and write it to another file.
All I can think of is to connect to the log file and search for the line:

                Total    Copied   Skipped  Mismatch    FAILED    Extras

I then need to copy the next 9 lines to another text file which is the bit im stuck with.

Can someone help with this?
the code I have to locate the line is:

const ForReading = 1
const TristateFalse = 0
dim strSearchThis
dim objFS
dim objFile
dim objTS
set objFS = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
set objFile = objFS.GetFile("C:\mylogfile.txt")
set objTS = objFile.OpenAsTextStream(ForReading, TristateFalse)

strSearchThis = objTS.Read(objFile.Size)

if instr(strSearchThis, "                Total    Copied   Skipped  Mismatch    FAILED    Extras") > 0 then

CODE TO COPY NEXT 9 LINES TO TEXT FILE HERE

end if
