Question

script returns "SWbemServicesEx: Not found"

Hello,

Am hoping someone may shed some light on what I'm missing.

Running this script against a local or remote pc (with admin account) returns the error

(11, 2) SWbemServicesEx: Not found

Run on both 03server and XP pro,  no other issues with WMI scripting on the same pc's

Thanks in advance for any help,

My gaol was to push an msi to a remote pc with this.  If an alternate method is known(via vbscript) that would help as well. (No GPO's please)

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but this solved it for me.

# "Add/Remove Programs"

"This is because by default the MSI provider is not installed on Windows Server 2003. To install it, open Control Panel, choose to add the Microsoft Windows component Management and Monitoring Tools, and then click Details. The WMI Windows Installer Provider is available there. It is a small addition, but I believe it requires a reboot for installation to complete."
