Other options
1) Turn on logon log off auditing for the event logs
2) Check the event logs - security log
I hope this helps !

Browse All TopicsHi,
I need to make a script in VBS able to find the last login time of any user in a workstation, i-e the last time a session has been open, anyway if it is a local user or a domain user (somes workstations are in workgroups, others in domain, and the same script must do the job).
Do you know what can I check on the computer to find the date of the last open session (a modified file, a value in registry, something accessible with vbs) ?
Thanks for help !
Bests regards

You could check the modified date/time on the ntuser.dat in the root of each users Documents and settings folder. That is their User Reg Hive and it gets modified only when the user logs in or a process runs on the local machine under their credentials.
