Browse All TopicsI have a list of GUID's that I want to run through and uninstall. The product may or may not be installed on the machine. What I want to do is run an msiexec /x and then get the result from the uninstall. If the product is not on the machine at this point it looks like the msiexec process is still running and I need to kill it but I want to be sure it is the same Msiexec that I kicked off.
This is what I'm using to kick of the Msiexec:

I suggest trying
strReturn = WshShell.Run ("msiexec /x {guid}"), 1, true)
This will have the vbscript show the msiexec process, but wait until it is completed before continuing. strReturn should be 0 if it suceeded.
I have heard others use code like below to uninstall a list of software:
