VB Script Question

I need some code that calls a .bat file & runs it from a logon script...for instance, if I have an existing logon script writted in VB, & at the end of the script I want it to run mybatchfile.bat from a network share...how would I do that?

I have done it this way




strScriptPath = "\\yourserver\netlogon\mybatchfile.bat"
WshShell.Run "wscript.exe " & Chr(34) & strScriptPath & Chr(34), 0, vbTrue

xxdcmast has it...the only thing I would suggest is changing this > "1, True" to "0, false" in order to make it invisible to users.  Since it's a logon script, you might not want them to be able to see or close it.

I don't know why none of these are working on my end....The extension of my logon script is .vbs..I'm assuming I'm running VBSCRIPT...I get an error saying "Variable is undefined "strScriptPath"

at the top of your script where you may have dim statements you should add

dim strScriptPath

Try this..

Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
objShell.Run("cmd /c \\servername\path\Script.bat"), 0, false

I added it, now it says error " Variable is undefined: 'objShell'

Oh I got it. I added ObjShell as a DIM satetment. It is working now.
