Browse All TopicsI need a method to get an exact movie length of any given avi file (either divx or xvid) using VBS.
I will be using this to do some batch sub title modification.
Preferred if this can be done with no third party additional software, only through the Windows XP OS, but if it comes to needing a 3rd party app, I would rather not have to install anything, if there is a freely available tool that can be used with VBS, perhaps through command line and then read the output, that will be okay.

Paste the script in the attached snippet into a text file with a .vbs extension. Customize the value of the strFile variable on line 1 with the location of the media file. Running the script will echo the file's duration.
