I have a cmd file that set variables and launch an application. When launching a cmd, the cmd stays open until you close the application. I'd like to do the same but using a VBS file so it will set the environement variable only for that session, launch the application and no extra windows will stay open. Is it possible to do that in VBS?

Sure, in VBScript it would look like: (save as "whatever.vbs" and you should be able to run it)
