Please help, I have a laptop computer, with Windows XP operating system. It is able to connect to the internet via ethernet connection and connects to the internet without problem. It also appears to connect with my Wireless Hub which is a BT Home Hub (i.e. it indicates 54Mbps, Excellent Signal Strength and Connected). However, when connected by wireless only, I am not able to connect to the Internet when I open IE7, i.e. after a while it comes up with the "unable to connect to the internet page".
I tried going into Network Connections > Wireless Network Connection Properties > Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) > Properties and entering the IP address to force the Wireless connection. The current configuration from ipconfig /all indicates the following configuration:
Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:

I have tried going onto the internet tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and checking the "Automatically Detect Setting" box, though this has no effect.
I have tried re-installing IE 7, to see if this would right whatever is going on. But all to no avail. So turing to you guys out there to see if you can help with this maddening problem.
I have considered using a so called Registry cleaner, e.g.
http://www.registrycleanerreview.org/top.php?csvkeyword=winsock-error&seed=winsock-errorBut I am wary of such programmes which seem to be a bit of a con to sucker the less experienced PC user into giving away money.
Please help before this drives me completely nuts.
