Random SAP R3 disconnects

We have a 900 users SAP R3 environment.  Central Data center with Juniper VPN to all sites around the US.  About 20% of our users operating on XP and Vista randomly receive SAP session disconnect messages.  It happens at multiple sites, multiple transactions.  We 've tried turning off PC firewall and anti-virus.  The SAP error log reveal TCP error code 10053 and 10054.  Would like to know how to troubleshoot this.  We've also tried the NIPing to/from the PC server - no issues found.  No telnetting problem.  No errors on the enterprise firewall 60% of the users never experience a disconnect.
