The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Converting a BMP file to send as Picture Message (SMS).

I am trying to send a picture message, but the picture has to be converted (I really dont know what this format is called.).

There is an online converter for this where the file can be uploaded and the converted text can be obtained. This converter is available on http://www.clickatell.com/central/frameset.php ("converters" link on the left side of the page), login id: mateen and Password: mateen123.

I converted the picture to HEX format, but the amout of data that is created by converting it to HEX is just enormous as compaired to the text obtained from the clickatell's converter for the same BMP. So I have ruled out the format as HEX. The clickatell's page says that it is converting the image to 8 Bit Binary String, I dont know if this is the rite way to call it, as the data does not contain only 0's and 1's which is expected of binary.

Now my question is:

How do I convert BMP to this whatever-format to send a picture message?

Please give the complete code either in VB, VB.Net or VBScript as i want to incorporate this converter in my applications.
