Hi!
I am trying to open a private queue on a remote machine from my local machine using ASP.NET web form. MSMQ is installed in Workgroup mode. Both machiens are in the same workgroup with the same administration user name and password. Both are running Win2K server. I get this error message:
Invalid queue path name.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Hi eeiq,
STrange enough, I had exactly the same problem today
In my case I had something like:
qOrders = New MessageQueue("OTHERMACHINE
But when I changed this to:
Dim q() As MessageQueue = MessageQueue.GetPrivateQue
qOrders = q(1)
I did not get the error any more.
(Although no exceptions were thrown, I still could not WRITE to the foreign queue)
