Question
Iterating through controls in WinForm
Hi. I'd like to loop through all the Textbox controls on a particular TabPage of a TabControl. So, firstly I need to filter out all controls not on that TabPage, and secondly, filter all controls out that are not Textboxes. It's not too important to filter by TabPage at this point, I'm mostly concerned in getting all the Textboxes only. My goal is to lock all the Textbox controls at the touch of a button. I tried something like this:
Dim oTextBox As TextBox
For Each oTextBox In TabControl1.SelectedTab.Co
oTextBox.ReadOnly = True
Next
But I get a run-time error "Specified cast is not available"
I also tried something like this:
Dim oControl As Control
For Each oControl In TabControl1.SelectedTab.Co
If oControl.GetType.ToString = "System.Windows.Forms.Text
Next
But I get a compile-error: 'ReadOnly' is not a member of 'System.Windows.Forms.Cont
