Browse All TopicsI need to create process using VB or VB.net that will act as a service when Windows starts that will watch for any of a number of specific TCP/IP ports being used, such as 80 that comes from a browser. Once found, the process will need to kill the calling program and then call an additional program. Is this possible? I know it is, I've seen this kind of thing before, I just don't know how to do it. Help!

Hello
u want to make a packet sniffer... hmmmm.... well use quiet.exe to run a program as a service and for packet sniffer use PacketX control... freeware
u need to take help from WinpCap as well.... once u will make the packet sniffer, u can identify the packet type, and then can monitor on every port what is being happening... just select the port and monitor the traffic... n do whatsoever u want to do...
