Changing Printer ServerName with VB script
Hi
I'm having trouble trying to change the printer ServerName(Win32_Printer.S
strComputer = "."
Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
Set colPrinters = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
("Select * From Win32_Printer Where ServerName ='\\\\MyPrintServer' ")
For Each objItem In colPrinters
objItem.ServerName = "\\NewPrintServer"
'objItem.ShareName = "NewShareName"
objItem.Put_
Next
When I'm trying to set objItem.ServerName it is not sticking, but when setting objItem.ShareName = "NewShareName" its working...
Any suggestions?

Note that you will need to replace the class (Win32_ComputerSystem) and method (Rename) used in the script with those of a printer server (Win32_Printer and RenamePrinter, respectively).
