How do I upload a live video stream on a website ?

Zones: Video Editing, General Multi-Media Software, Audio Editing
I want to stream the live data from my Sony handycam to my laptop(firewire interface) and then upload it direclty to a webpage on my website. What software tools would I requre at each stage for a live upload ?
