By the error messsages, I'd say that timestamps (or actually frames) in the AVI file are in the wrong order. Ffmpeg may output that when it spots two frames with the second one having an earlier timestamp than the first one. In your case:
...
Frame N: timestamp=6000
Frame N+1: timestamp=3000
...
This definitely shouldn't happen in an AVI file. I'm sure you can fix the error using a tool like mencoder, though.

Gspot is a very neat tool to analyze video and audio, it will tell you what codecs were used, once it's analysed it look down to the bottom proposed codecs and solutions
click on the 1 for video then two
It shoudl tell what the problem is
