i've used both mediaface nad surething
both do pretty much the same thing - which is to help you get the layoput o nthe cd and reproduce it consistently
As for "art-sie" grahpics looks - both of these allow you to import graphics - so you should be able to come up with whatever you want as long as you can do the designs first - like in photoshop
What I typically do is create it all in photoshop and then just use MediaFace and Surething to "layout" that image over the cd

I actually prefer media face cause I use Neato labels - but I have also used SureThing esp. for using with Lightscribe drives

I want to add , I would like a program packed with alot of features. like if you had to design a CD or DVD that had a very art-sie look, you would be able to make it look like the original ...
