The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Obviously there is some confusion here. Could be either the slab of beer that I drank last night or the 17 cups of espresso that I drank this morning. But Sony are the major manufacturer in the video industry right up to broadcast standard. Obviously you are doing something wrong.
If you split 2 clips -- as you say -- and can't put them back together -- then instead of deleting the edited footage you should copy it to the clipboard if you need to use it later.
I can assure you there is nothing wrong with Vegas.

Too often on EE we don't get enough information as to exactly people are trying to do. If your problem is not solved you need to write a detailed explanation of exactly you are trying to do and we can run some tests for you. But just a couple of lines doesn't tell us anything.

Should I open up a new question, and be detailed?

Here is ok. I've got too many EE T-shirts anyway.

Ok, Here it goes:

I have two "events" in Vegas Movie Studio 8.0. Nomatter if if cut & repaste or anything else obvious, I can't merge the two events so that they are one event. When I look at the documentation, they don't have anything on merging or joining two events. So the question is: How do I merge or join two events?

(Is that clear enough? It's a very general question by its nature.)

The way most video editors work is that you import video either to the timeline or to a library or clipboard.
Assembly editing is dragging those clips onto the time line, in turn, where they should automatically join together.
Finally you have to make a new movie from the project files on the timeline -- by using either the save or share facility.
Is this what you are doing?

Comment by roshkins
No. I want to be able to join two events that I have clipped, and made some change to the other events. (So I can;t press undo, and have it go back together again.) I know I can do it in Windows Movie Maker, but why not in vegas?
