Hi
The .srt file has to be made for the movie you are watching, obvoiusly. Put the .srt file in the same directory as the AVI file. Then your player has to be able to read the .srt file and display the subtitles. I use Media Player Classic to watch the movies and make sure that the VoSub plugin is installed. These programs are on SourceForge. If you are interested, I can give you the links.
What player are you using? What subtitle display program are you using? Get back with this info and we'll sort this whole thing out.
Now, if you are trying to hard code the subtitle to the .avi file, there is a much different process that needs to be done. The are builders out there and the associated tutorials if you are interested.
What do you think about this?
