Sorry just another thing, you might want to use:
/usr/bin/killall -HUP apache2
instead of
/etc/init.d/apache2 reload
Main Topics
Browse All Topicsmy apache2 ssl_request_log file is 5.3GB in size. My understanding is the file will be rotated when it reaches over 4096k in size. Apparently this is not happening since Novermber 2nd 2008. The logrotate script is inside /etc/cron.daily directory. so it supposed to run everyday.
can any body tell why ssl_request file is not not getting rotated.
Hint: the ssl_request_file first lines were written on Nov 2nd 2008. last lines are today.
my /etc/logrotate.d/apache2 look like this:
/var/log/apache2/ssl_reque
compress
dateext
maxage 365
rotate 99
size=+4096k
notifempty
missingok
create 644 root root
postrotate
/etc/init.d/apache2 reload
endscript
}
Thank you
