The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Excel / Visual Basic 'basic' help

Asked by christianwoodyatt in Processor Programming for Specific Platforms

On worksheet 'ONE' I have a table with titled columns A,B,C,D & E. On
worksheet 'TWO' I have the same columns with the same headings, however
column E on this worksheet is populated with static, sequential data (for
example TPD001 - in cell E2, TPD002 - in cell E3, TPD003 - in cell E4 and so
on..).  The principle of the workbook is that the user can go into worksheet
'ONE', enter the required information in columns A through to D, press a
'refresh' button,  and, the information they've typed will be copied into
the next available(empty) row in worksheet 'TWO' and then the relating value
of column E of worksheet 'TWO' will be returned/displayed.  This means that
worksheet 'TWO' is a cumulative database in the background that is updated
every time info is inputted in worksheet 'ONE', and similarly, everytime
info is inputted a reference is given to that row and subsequently displayed
to the user (only able to see worksheet 'ONE'). I have a little knowledge of
visual basic, but cannot seem to find the code to execute this operation.
Using the copy method I can get the inputted data copied to the second
worksheet, but cannot workout how to specify next available row or how to
then return the relating value from column E!!
