Not only is it impossible to get anything more than the assembly code, but if you're in the U.S. then even attempting to do so will probably put you afoul of the DMCA (digital millenium copywrite act).
I agree with sunnycoder that if your needs are legitimate you should contact the author/owner of the code.

For file named "source.exe" enter the following on the command line (include path as appropriate):
Debug source.exe
D
D
D

If you need higher level, swap letter 'U' for 'D' above as desired.
While you can code decompiler to make look like higher language, that does not make it easy to manage, or understand.
Simpler is to do either as sunnycoder suggested, contact author, or, to recode it yourself. I am with minority who side against DMCA and laws supposedly contrary to decodes. That is, providing it is done for personal use and not for profit (which could be labelled as fraud, theft, etc). I also hold that my company (whichever one I fall under) should be able to get the source from author for minimal cost when purchasing critical .exe - a support issue.
There can be (and are) similar means and methods, I illustrated that the answer can also be a readily available free tool, available to anyone.

"What do you mean I can't search your home? Why not, if you have nothing to hide?" There are tons of LEGITIMATE reasons one may have for viewing a .exe file of any other file.
