asked on

mouse hook....

Hi!
Well I know this topic has been discussed quite a few times. (Just search for mouse hook)here in the www...you find tonns of it. But the most of it is: too complicated won't work on delphi 5 or wont work on win XP.....Let's make it easy...

I just need to know where the user clicked (system wide not only in my app) and what sort of click that was (Left mouse click; right mouse click; doubleclick).

It would be cool if you could give me some simple code because I don't need any keyboard hook. (Of course if you want more points for a detailed source example I will provide it.)

You need to use mouse hook... And I guess there is no way out... The mouse hook procedure must have to be in a standard DLL file, where you can log coordinates of the mouse pointer and also the mouse clicks... If you need the source code... Please increase the points and ask me for it...

This is the unique answer...
do you want to react when your application is
loosing focus or is it necessary that your program
works without being in the foreground?

Ok Munim, I will double the points. It would be great if you could provide me with a working example! Because you have to use anyway a keyboard hook let's make it like this. My program works in the background and as soon you hold the Ctrl button and click somewhere, it is shown what for a clicktype it is and displayes  that e.x. in a memofield..... that would be really cool!
THX!
Hello Mr. dluedi, I created the the application to your requirement. It logs mouse messages when control key is pressed... (system wide)... You can get the code if you only agree to increase the points to 300... because, this application customized and written for you...
