Terminating Processes where you only know the executeable's name ?

Does anybody know if it's possible to terminate a process if you only know the name of the executeable rather than the window handle ?

eg. in the taskmanager I have a program called 'CMESys.exe' this is, despite the name, some sort of popup advertising system, I don't know the window handle of this program, I was wondering if it was possible to shut it down if you only know the name of the process ?

If this can be done I wanna create a program which can terminate any adware process running ...

Regards

on win 9x killtask will require full path of executable, but on NT just executable. I'm sure 'cause i'm using procedure like KillTask
uhmmm....maybe there's a magician in my pc's....It works fine in W2k-XP-ME-95-98 (Nt not tested....)
Am i just lucky? ;-)
