Best Frameworks and tools in Java
Hello All,
In continuation with my earlier question https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21048347/Which-Java-IDE-is-best.html
I wanted to know the Best farme works and Java tools that can be used in J2EE web based applications
I have found Java Studio Creator: An IDE to Create Web Applications
Oracle ADF - A comprehensive productivity layer for J2EE developers.
Struts, Java Server Faces Ant, XDoclet and so on
But I don't know what is Oracle ADF
I would like to know which tools/frameworks/IDEs I need to go for in reducing the developer works
The reason behind asking this question is my company wanted to standardise on partcular frame work structure/tools/IDE
Now the constraints I have are
1. The tool or Frame work what I propose should reduce the work of JDBC developer
2. Shamely to say my company developers are poor in XML/XSLT. I Only can work with the XML related works. To reduce burden on me, My company management asked me to propose the framework related to XML/XSLT that should be easy to other developers
3. Framework should reduce the development time of JSP/Servlet related work
My company is open to Free/Open Souce/Products at price
I need ur inputs regarding the best options for this
Thanks

Just a side note. If the developers are not strong in Java they might find both Hibernate and Cocoon a little hard to work at first time. But I believe once you learn them (especially hibernate) they are very powerful tools.
I believe you can easily find tutorials and info on hibernate and taglibs. Cocoon resources seem to be scarce though since it never had the widespread use of other technologies. For some tutorials/info on cocoon (if you decide to go with that) you can look here:

Don't use Workshop. It has features that will lock your application to WLS only.
I guess it could be used while working only with Weblogic ;-) ? I never faced problems with that.
