The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Getting IBM Client Access to Work via VPN

Hi Guys,

I am trying to get IBM Client Access V5R2 5250 to work via the internet using VPN. I have configured the VPN Appliance to allow the following IBM Client Access Ports through to my ISeries i810 it:

PORT 23
PORT 5544
PORT 8470
PORT 8471
PORT 8472
PORT 8473
PORT 8474
PORT 8475
PORT 8476

However when i try to logon to a 5250 session i get the following error message:

CWBCO 1003 - sockets error, functionreturned 10065.

They can ping the Iseries however.

Is there something i am missing?
