Need to design intranet for computer rooms

Hi,
I am in the process of documenting my computer rooms. I have got tens of visio diagrams (which can be converted to JPEGs) and 100s of word documents and excel sheets related to my computer rooms.
What I would like to do is: design a web portal (intranet kind of) and place all the documents in a central repository (can be a database or a file system). There should be links to layout design of various computer rooms and racks in these rooms. Once we click on any device, it should display further information - may be linked to a word document/ excel etc.

I would like to publish this to whole IT department as read only and Technical/ Infrastructure team with Write permissions on certain areas.

Could some one please suggest me, if there is any off shelf products - any license or any OS?
If there is no such products, could you please give me some ideas on how to do it?
