Good information, but I need to know how to take ownership of a folder that the file is in.

Browse All TopicsThe environment where I work locks most PC's so the user is not able to install or remove software themselves. During a separate process a folder is created with several junk files that need to be deleted. The problem is the user has to call the Help Desk and the Help Desk has to take control of each folder to delete the folder. In some cases the user has hundreds of these folders all visible to them on the root directory, doing this by hand takes to long. I have written a program that will automate the process, the only thing is I do not understand the CACLS command in DOS, or similar commands that are supposed to let someone with administrative rights to take ownership of the folder. Can someone help me?
