What happens is when I use my profile, for example, to log onto an XP workstation to a Windows 2003 Ent. server all is good but when I log off of the workstation all profiles for all the users on the system sync and it takes some time for that to happen. Shouldn't only my profile sync? This happens for any person with a roaming profile that logs onto any workstation. I have the roaming profile defined in AD under Profile with the profile path going to a directory on the AD server ie: \\steel\rraesz$\profile with the standard login.cmd for the login script. Please Help!!

This seems like you have combined home drive and profile folder, and maybe even redirected folders. me% as profile path.

This does not go together well. Profile folders have to be addressed by a dedicated share for which offline caching is disabled.
Note that since Windows 2000, there's no need to share every user's home or profile folder individually.
Create one share "Profiles$" or whatever, disable offline caching for this share, use \\server\profiles$\%userna
Do NOT redirect user folders into a (sub)folder of the profile folder, and do NOT let the home folder point to a (sub)folder of the profile folder, either.
Roaming profiles are synced with the server on logon/logoff, and you *will* get profile corruption if you're using offline folders and/or are writing into a profile folder on the server while working with the local copy of the profile.
The Cache Option for Offline Files Must Be Disabled on Roaming User Profile Shares
