We have a rather interesting problem. One of our clients recently got rid of his BES device and got himself an iPhone along with 4 or 5 other users. On all of the users phones, when an email is delivered to their mailbox say every 2 minutes or so, its pushed to the phone.
So 4 of the users work, 1 doesn't. Instead of being pushed when an email arrives, it is pushed every 5 seconds. When we attach that account to a different phone, we get the same thing. It pushes every 5 seconds, mail or not and drains the battery. When we attach a different account to the problem user's phone, his phone acts correctly.
We have changed the timeout on the router for Https, as well as entered into the registry the correct heartbeat settings for owa and active synch. Still, the other 4 users are unaffected, and his account is still pushing every 5 seconds.
So, we have determined it to be account related. Any normal user and we wouldn't worry about it. We would export the email to a pst, blow the account away, and recreate it. The unfortunate part is, this particular user is the President of the company and we'd rather not do it. We tried switching him to fetch, but 15 minutes is too long. We are obviously using Exchange so we cannot modify that and have him go to pop/imap.
So, any ideas would be appreciated, and nothing will be ruled out. We are all essentially stumped here.
