Understanding DOD Directives and Specifications?

Asked by tmonteit in Project Management, Miscellaneous, Documentation in Programming

I do Requirements Management.  I have a requirement that says my system must be DOD Directive (DODD) 4630 Interoperable.  I went to look for DODD 4630 on a google search for lack of a better place to start.

I found DODD 4630.05.   Why the '05'?  Does this mean I found version '05' of 4630?   Or is this the 5th of a series of documents?  If so, where do I find the others in a series?

For compliance, How does one prove they have a DODD 4630 Interoperable system?

Not sure where to post this.  I can't find a Requirements section.  Please excuse if this is mis-posted.Start Free Trial
