How to Clone existing git repository without any history or git information
I am trying to get a clean copy of a current git repository. I do not want any history or any git information, just the current code.

The solution that Sitewizard is proposing that they found themselves is exactly what I had posted 5 hours earlier

I was asking for the git command to clone. He did not provide that, just random information about what I could delete. I simply found the correct way, the git way to do this myself and reposted it.

honestly I did not ask for the theory behind it, was asking how to do it. I don't want to be bothered with this mickey mouse bs. I have better things to do then go back and forth over this.
Also, you would have needed to provide "some" indication of the system/OS you are working on to have any hope of a more specific answer. Anyway, rest assured that you wont have to waste your time reading any of my posts in the future!
