Monitor goes into Stand-by Mode
Epilogue: I have just recently fixed problems of loadqm.exe and msgsrv32.exe bugs and now my comp when restarted wont bootup.
Problem: When restarting the computer via "Start + Shut Down" or a prompt to restart the computer, my monitor goes into stand-by mode and stays there until I press the restart button on the case. How do I fix this problem so my comp restarts naturally?

I have restarted my computer into safe mode, using the symantec link. Although i do not know what to do after im in there.. please advice me on how to fix this bug.
Note: my cd-rom drive makes this loud thud when restarting is that normal?

A loud thud on any part of your computer is not normal. It might very well be a problem with the CDRom that's preventing bootup. I don't know what repurcussions your machine has regarding opening your case, so check that first (some companies invalidate your warranty if you open the case). If it appears OK to do so, I would highly recommend finding the power cable to your CDRom and unplugging it. OK, since you're able to start your computer in safe mode, this almost certainly means that the problems are with the changes you made to loadqm and msgsvr32.exe. My recommendations would be to get the updated drivers (or if the updated drivers for these caused the problem, obtain a back-version). Install these and try to restart in normal mode. Report findings back.

Thanks guys, ive now successfully if the problem. the problem was my video graphics card adaptor was loose and needed to be removed and but back more securely. =]
