Question

TRUSTED LINK IN AS400

Asked by: gsantillana

I am using TLE V 3.2.  Rel 01
I would like to know how can I call  in a CL  the options below from Translator menu
1. Inbound Interchange Receive
2. Inbound Interchanges Unpack
3. Inbound Messages Processing
4. Outbound Message Pack
5. Outbound Interchange Send

I need to put  option 1,2,3  in one CL ,  and options 4,5 in another CL,  I do not want to use the shceduler to call that options individually
I would like to know what are the parameters used in every program,  I could identify the unpacking and the packing processed,
Unpacking
CALL PGM(EDI622) PARM('000000000000      0      0000000' 0 '2')

Packing
CALL PGM(EDI712) PARM('000000000000      0       000000' 0 '2')

But  I can not identify the 1.Inbound Receive and  5. Outbound Send processes

qsantillana,

I don't have V3.2 docs, but my V6.1.4 docs have all of the commands,API's, and documented program calls listed in the "Application Program and Interface Guide".

I have the V3.2 Documents but I can not find anything about these programs.

Is there a way I can have those documents to take a look?
or can you show me an example of one of these programs to see if I can use it in my TLE Version?
Thanks

I can't post the TL docs wholesale without their permission without violating their copyright.  The file on my documentation CD is called "api.pdf".  Do you have a similar document?

I understand
No I do not have that document
I just need the parameters to call programs EDI602C  and EDI736,  EDI733, EDI735,   I am not sure if these programs are the same in your TLE version
Thanks

Parms for those programs aren't documented in 6.1.4.  Most of these functions have command interfaces.  Do a WRKCMD *ALL in your TrustedLink program library.

I found this in some of my notes on TL, but I think its for 5.4.  Not sure if the same programs exist for 3.2.

I think the API manuals are on a separate disk from the TL program.

Info:
The program call CED810XB lets you call the TrustedLink communications
program for the custom network in batch mode from outside TrustedLink.
Call program CED810XB and pass one parameter.

From/To Use Type Field Description
1 Input Char (1) Action code
1=Send, 2=Receive, 3=Send/Receive
2-3 Input Char (2) Custom network identifier
4-13 Input Char (10) Custom network program name
14-16 Input Char (3) Custom network send record length
17-19 Input Char (3) Custom network receive record length
20-29 Input Char (10) Library where custom network program
resides

I also found this, but again, I think it's for 5.4:

You can choose from of the following programs provided depending on the
type of communications you want to initiate. The programs are:
CED8404B BSC communications CED8404B, CED8604B,
CED8504B, CED8622B
and CED8623B Parameters

CED8604B SDLC communications
CED8504B GEIS ONPFLU6.2 (GS) Network,
SNA communications
CED8622B IP Exchange (IX) Network
CED8623B Cyclone Commerce (CC) Network
CED8616B IBM FTP (IF) Network CED8616B Parameters on

CED8620B IBM EX expEDIte Base/400 (EX) Network
XML Exchange Network (XE) Network
CED8620B Parameters on

CED8624B Scripted FTP (SF, or network ID) Module CED8624B Parameters on

Let me know if you have any of those programs on your 3.2 system and I'll see if I can find the parms listing for the programs you want.

Hi   Bryav

I do not have these programs in 3.2,   but  what I found was  command  SNDEDIINT  and this helped me with the  Outbound Send Process
About the Receive Inbound ,  what I did was  create a small program to write a request to the TLE Scheduler Request data queue  (EDISCH) once the scheduler read the data queue the inbound receive process was executed,   then I just call the others programs to do the Unpack and Process  (EDI622,  EDI642).  all in one CL  and it worked.

Thank both of you for your help,  I really appreciate it
