When I log on a terminal server with the sane user ID of AS/400 user (but whit different passwords) I cannot access to shared folders but If I try to access to shared folders directly from my pc I can. Is there any issues with different passwords but same user ID from AS/400 user and Windows Terminal Server user ?
I mean: I setup the same user e.g. "User1" both on AS/400 and on Terminal server enviroment and after I log on the Terminal server I can log on AS/400 using IBM CA but when I try to access to AS/440 shared folders i get an message error regarding wrong user or password...
Should I have both the same user ID and same password (on AS/400 and Terminal Server enviroment)
Thanks in advance

By default, Windows passes your Windows user ID and password to the AS/400 NetServer application, just like any other CIFS share. If you configure your Windows and AS/400 profiles to be the same, and with the same password, it works nicely.
You can also use the AS?400's Enterprise Identity Mapping function to set up relationships between AS/400 User Profiles and profiles on other systems, since it can be difficult, especially in large organizations, to maintain the same user profile and password on many multiple systems, each with their own user id naming and password complexity requirements.
