hi expert!!
iam developing an gaming application of poker.i like to implement timer in "c /c++" on linux plateform .,so that game starts.
i am unable to Find the TIMER FUNCTION. SO that it can " set the timer"or the particular action and " kill the timer " when the particular action gets over.
please help me with the solution as soon as possible.!!!!

/dev/rtc is really accurate compaed with alarm() - but I think the original question asker is out of his depth, if he is asking about the man command. "you must learn to walk before you can run" (remember being told that at school). "Real-time programming is never easy" (old-timer saying that I just made up (but then I'm an old timer, so I'm allowed to do that):)
