Browse All TopicsAfter some length period of playing 20 or so videos over and over, mplayer eventually stops playing the video and the monitor shows "no signal".
We have an application that is launching mplayer every 45 seconds or so to play several 30 sec videos. After working fine for about 12 hours, it eventually stops playing the video and the monitor goes into a 'no signal' mode.
We're running Debian Lenny on an INTEL board (D945GSEJT).

I'm not sure if svgalib is running out of virtual consoles due to some issue w/ svgalib or what. I would be willing to switch -vo modes. Or run some command that would reset the video subsystem to sanity in between videos.

Probably a video driver issue. What graphic card does the PC have?
